Position Summary and Scope of Responsibility
Skilled work involving performance of tasks in installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment necessary for the proper operation of water and wastewater treatment plants, water system
distribution pumping stations, wastewater collection and transmission system pumping stations, supervisory controls, and data acquisition (SCADA) system equipment, remote pumping stations and water reservoir site maintenance and appearance. Involves public contact and is subject to 24-hour call.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance, repair and construction of water and sewer machinery, pumps, and SCADA
equipment.
Performing cleaning and maintenance of board equipment and machinery.
Drive a vehicle transporting co-workers and equipment to and from work sites.
Perform minor repair work and service on vehicles, equipment, and machinery.
Operate a variety of light and heavy equipment, including front-end loader, backhoe, excavator, boom truck, dump truck, pipe saw, jack hammer, tamps, chain saws and other equipment necessary to work assignments.
Performs related work as assigned following all safety guidelines.
Routinely checks all equipment, orders maintenance supplies, maintains maintenance inventory and records.
