Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Mortgage Loan Officer at AnnieMac Home Mortgage - Momentum Group. The Mortgage Loan Officer will consult with borrowers to understand their financial goals, recommend appropriate loan products, and guide them through the mortgage application process from initial inquiry through closing. Daily tasks include generating and nurturing leads, building relationships with real estate partners, collecting and analyzing borrower documentation, and coordinating with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure timely, compliant approvals. The role involves explaining loan terms and programs in clear, accessible language, maintaining detailed records in the loan origination system, and adhering to regulatory and company policies. The Mortgage Loan Officer will also leverage Momentum Group’s strategic offerings and marketing tools to grow business and provide a high-quality customer experience.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar mortgage sales role, with a strong track record of originating residential loans.
- Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending practices, including conventional, FHA, VA, Non-QM, and other common loan products.
- Familiarity with Underwriting standards and documentation requirements, with the ability to package files accurately and efficiently.
- Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and guide borrowers through complex decisions.
- Proficiency with loan origination systems, CRM tools, and basic office software; comfort working in a digital, remote environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with borrowers, real estate agents, and referral partners.
- Understanding of federal and state lending regulations; NMLS registration and applicable state licenses (or eligibility to obtain them).
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented work style with the ability to manage a pipeline, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines independently.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail
