Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, including toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, and fun
- Ensure safety by adhering to childhood development best practices, behavior management strategies, and mandated reporting laws when necessary
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, potty training, and nap times for infants and toddlers
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress, needs, and any concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized environment suitable for young children’s activities and safety standards
- Administer first aid or CPR in emergency situations when required, following proper protocols
Experience
- Prior experience working with children across various settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting or nannying roles
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
- Experience caring for infants through elementary school-age children with skills in activity planning and behavior management
- Familiarity with special needs care or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in childhood safety practices is preferred
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents and team members to ensure consistent care standards
- Classroom or daycare experience that showcases your ability to supervise children safely while encouraging their growth
