What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counter Help / Front of House position at Annie's Culinary Garden?
Annie’s Culinary Garden is a garden-to-table café and produce stand focused on fresh, seasonal food sourced from our garden and local farms. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable team member to help create a welcoming experience for customers while supporting daily café operations. Pay is $12-$14/hr DOE tips.
Duties
- Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members
- Take orders and operate the point-of-sale system
- Stock deli, grab-and-go, and beverage cases with prepared food
- Maintain cleanliness of cases, dining area, and workspaces
- Offer samples and help customers with selections
- Assist with washing dishes and putting items away
- Maintain and stock carryout containers and supplies
- Help coordinate and stock products from local retailers
- Assist with ordering and stocking merchandise
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- Passion for natural foods and healthy eating
- Friendly, outgoing, and enjoys working with people
- Ability to proactively engage with customers and sell products
- Excitement about the menu and ability to communicate it to customers
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to follow directions and procedures
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with point-of-sale systems preferred
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Able to stand/walk for 6–8 hours
