A fantastic new gem to the Utah food scene, Annie’s Cafe opened its doors in 2019. The modest restaurant seats up to 75 guests in a beautifully designed space for breakfast or brunch.
The owner and Executive Chef received her culinary education at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Las Vegas. Selected as one of a handful of culinary graduates to be tutored in the Las Vegas kitchen of internationally renowned, multi-Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay. Pastry chef Scott Conant This French training and experience fueled her passion for owning her own space, and she started her business in her own food truck. Serving Crepes and Cakes throughout Nevada and Utah. Her food truck is still a popular option for private events In Salt Lake and Davis County.
Relocated to Utah to open Annie's Cafe was a dream come true. Description
We are looking for a personable server to welcome our guests in a friendly and polite manner. Answer their questions, take orders, and serve food and drinks.
The server's responsibilities include maintaining a clean and well-stocked workspace, taking food and drink orders, and entering them into the point-of-sale systems (POS), bussing tables, and resetting tables.
To be successful as a server, you will carefully listen to customers to ensure accuracy when taking requests, be attentive and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities. Servers should always strive to deliver outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities: Server
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Greeting customers as they arrive, making them feel welcome.
- Answer inquiries in person or by phone
- You will maintain knowledge of our menu to answer questions and make notes of special requests if required.
- Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions.
- Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
- Operating cash registers and other electronics.
- Presenting customers with the bill and processing payments.
- Tidying the restaurant after service and ensuring it is prepped for the following service.
- Maintaining cleanliness standards by keeping the front-of-house area clean.
- Cleaning and restocking in the back of house serving areas, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment.
- Complying with company policies.
Preferred
- Experience working with point-of-sale systems (POS)
- The ability to process bills and cash registers.
- Previous customer service experience
- Sound knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A food handler's license.
- The ability to adhere to and uphold sanitization standards.
- Training and willingness to continue learning.
- Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Well-groomed, professional appearance.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service, positive attitude, a polite and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to anticipate problems, make contingency plans, and multitask under stress in a busy restaurant environment
