Join our vibrant summer camp team as a Seasonal Camp Director, where you will lead a dynamic and engaging environment for adults and children with intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities
- Works within a team to plan, implement, and supervise recreation and therapeutic activities for individuals with varying abilities. The Recreation Director manages the day-to-day tasks of summer camp while ensuring a professional and safe environment for all involved.
- Deliver a recreation program that meets the needs and interests of the target population and ensures safety and quality.
- Seek and analyze input from youth, families, and staff regarding the quality, safety, and enjoyment of the program and staff.
- Implement crisis and risk management procedures according to policies.
- Ensure delivery of programs and activities appropriate to our population.
- Assist with Training and supervising seasonal staff.
- Communicate maintenance needs for Courageous Acres to ensure stewardship of current resources.
- Oversee the daily operation of the summer camps including: programming, camper and staff supervision, and health care.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external groups to ensure the enhancement of the camp operations and quality recreation programming. Hold (or be willing to acquire) the following certifications: CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications, Direct Support Provider Certification
Pay Details: Schedule will be set, varying between 5-6 days per week. Pay periods will be bi-weekly. Meals are provided while on duty. Contract for pay is based on experience.
