Position Overview: We are seeking a self-motivated, energetic, creative, and dependable individual to join our team as a Customer Service Specialist at the Front Desk. This full-time position is crucial to coordinating front desk operations, assisting surgical schedulers, and supporting surgery patients. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a medical practice and possess impeccable customer service skills, with a strong focus on patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience.
- Manage patient phone calls and inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- File and maintain medical records using athenahealth EMR software.
- Verify insurance information and procure referrals for HMO Patients.
- Manage money handling and transactions with integrity.
- Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel efficiently.
- Assist surgical staff by coordinating pre- and post-operative patient care and scheduling.
- Foster positive staff relations and delegation to ensure smooth operations.
- Demonstrate flexibility to meet practice needs.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a medical office front desk role is required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and EMR.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
