Location: 2666 Riva Road, Suite 310, Annapolis, MD 21401 Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Annual Budgeted Amount: $82,088 Benefits: Participation in the County’s group health plan including prescription, dental, and optical, paid holidays and sick leave. Optional deferred compensation program at employee's own expense.
Job Description
Nature of Work:
Provide complete database solutions for Department of Health personnel, including, but not limited to, design, development, testing, programming, implementation, security, documentation, training and maintenance. Serve as the IT Programmer Analyst responsible for the full-stack development and support of Department applications. Consult with users to plan, develop, evaluate, and revise software using a modern tech stack of HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and Java with MS SQL Server. A critical component of this role involves modernizing agency tools by converting legacy MS Access applications into secure, web-based applications. Additionally, develop and manage SQL databases, queries, and stored procedures, and integrate third-party COTS software to ensure seamless data operations.
Education
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience
Three years designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application systems and programs using generally accepted computer programming languages or other developmental tools.
Desired Or Preferred Qualifications
Experience with programming, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Microsoft SQL Server, developing and successfully deploying Web Front End Applications, developing multi-user production applications, serving as an application project manager on application deployments, and Microsoft Access.
