Location: 3 Harry S. Truman Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21401
Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Description
Nature of Work:
Under the supervision of the Director of the Office of Assessment and Planning, develop, implement, monitor, coordinate and report on major agency plans and initiatives, including the agency Strategic Plan, Gun Violence Intervention Team (GVIT) Strategic Plan and local health improvement plans. Particular emphasis will be placed on evaluating, analyzing, researching and developing policies and programs, including those that address community gun violence. Assist in interpreting federal and state policies and guidelines related to gun violence; arrange and facilitate meetings; seek funding to support GVIT efforts; manage GVIT grant funding; and complete reports and other documentation. Develop tracking tools and methods to evaluate the success of the agency's plan and to support implementation by providing technical assistance.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in health planning, public health, health science, hospital administration, healthcare administration or other related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
One year of experience in health planning or possession of a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the identified fields for the education requirement.
Desired or Preferred Qualifications:
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university in health planning, public health, health science, hospital administration, healthcare administration or other related field. Experience in local health department planning, community health planning or violence interruption planning.
