Job Description
Nature of Work:
Research, develop, implement, promote and evaluate comprehensive evidence-based community health education programs in the areas of chronic disease prevention, tobacco use prevention and cessation, cancer prevention and other emerging health issues.
Required to have transportation available and will be provided with mileage reimbursement for the use of their personal vehicle for any travel in excess of their normal commute to their regular work site. Work occasional nights and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in public health or related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
Community health outreach and education.
License or Certification:
Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
Desired or Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work independently. Certification as a Community Health Education Specialist (CHES).
