Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Subcontractor Hauler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting building components to various job sites in the New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland region. Your energetic approach and attention to safety will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining excellent relationships with our customers and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload material efficiently using equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Follow designated routes driving safely and adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Ensure proper securing of loads during transit to prevent damage or accidents.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and team members regarding delivery schedules or delays.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for all shipments.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for operating various truck types listed above.
- Proven experience in truck driving, especially with tractor-trailers, flatbeds.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles preferred.
- Experience in freight delivery, route driving, load & unload operations, and working with different types of trucks such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other loading equipment is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and proper vehicle maintenance practices.
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight schedules efficiently.
