We are a modern, patient-focused orthodontic practice in Anna, Texas, seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who is energetic, dependable, and passionate about creating outstanding patient experiences. The ideal candidate is a team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is willing to travel between practice locations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during patient treatment and procedures
- Take digital X-rays, intraoral scans, and clinical photographs
- Prepare patients for treatment and provide excellent chairside assistance
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment instructions
- Change archwires, ligate brackets, place and remove orthodontic appliances (based on state regulations and experience)
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA and infection control standards
- Keep treatment areas clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Work collaboratively with the clinical and administrative team to ensure an exceptional patient experience
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of orthodontic assisting experience preferred
- Current Texas RDA certification required
- Current CPR certification
- Experience with digital imaging and orthodontic software is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, positive attitude with excellent attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between office locations
- Ability to multitask while providing exceptional patient care
