Infant Teacher Assistant
Anna’s Little Bananas Childcare Center is seeking a caring and dependable Infant Teacher Assistant to join our team. Our center provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years, and we are looking for someone passionate about supporting the growth and development of our youngest learners.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teacher in providing attentive care to infants (feeding, diapering, soothing, and playtime).
- Support daily routines that promote each child’s physical, emotional, and social development.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Engage infants in age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration and early learning.
- Assist with documentation of daily activities, meals, and developmental milestones.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with infants in a childcare or similar setting preferred.
- Warm, patient, and nurturing personality with a genuine love for children.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions from lead teachers.
- Reliability and strong communication skills.
- Must meet New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) requirements, including background clearance, physical, and training.
