Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and development.
- Manage classroom activities and behavior to ensure a positive learning experience for all students.
- Assess individual student progress through observations and standardized testing; adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children's educational and emotional needs.
- Incorporate Montessori or other specialized teaching methods as appropriate to enhance learning outcomes.
- Support children with special education needs or early intervention programs by tailoring activities to individual requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and developmental milestones.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, curriculum updates, and best practices in preschool education.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in preschool or daycare settings is required, with familiarity in managing toddler care and early childhood development.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management is essential.
- Knowledge of special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and working with children with diverse needs is preferred.
- Background in Montessori methods or other early childhood educational philosophies is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
