Duties
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to ensure healthy turf growth.
- Assist with planting, transplanting, pruning, and trimming trees, shrubs, flowers, and other garden plants.
- Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes for garden maintenance and planting projects.
- Use power tools like trimmers, blowers, and small machinery safely and efficiently to support landscape upkeep.
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Support greenhouse activities by watering plants, monitoring growing conditions, and assisting with plant propagation.
- Help with landscape maintenance tasks such as mulching, weed control, soil preparation, and fertilization to promote plant health.
- Assist in farming or agricultural activities including crop planting, harvesting, and soil management when needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience in gardening, horticulture, landscaping, or related outdoor work is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and greenhouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with lawn care practices such as mowing, fertilizing, and aeration.
- Basic understanding of plant growth requirements and landscape maintenance techniques.
