We are hiring a full-time Activities Assistant to join our long-term care team
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for an entry-level healthcare job or a career in senior care, recreation therapy, or nursing home activities.
You’ll help create engaging programs that improve residents’ quality of life, social engagement, and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities programs in a nursing home / senior living setting
- Lead and support group activities, games, crafts, music, and events
- Provide one-on-one engagement for residents
- Encourage participation in recreational and therapeutic activities
- Support activity planning and documentation
- Help coordinate holiday events, outings, and social programs
- Work with the care team to support resident-centered care plans
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in working with those with Dementia/Alzheimer's helpful but not necessary
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, or senior living is a plus
- Previous experience in working with those with Dementia/Alzheimer's helpful but not necessary
- Open to candidates seeking entry-level healthcare, caregiver, or CNA-related experience
- Friendly, patient, and dependable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be able to work every other weekend
Salary : $14 - $17
