Anna Jaques Hospital is pleased to announce that we are, once again, offering a paid Nursing Assistant training program beginning in April 4th, 2022! To be considered, applicants must submit an application by Friday, March 18th.
A Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Assistant (PCA) is an active participant in the healthcare team who provides direct and indirect basic care to patients as well as support and care to families and visitors. The PCA is a valued member of the healthcare team, working shoulder to shoulder with nurses, physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Be able to obtain American Heart Association HeartSaver certification or BLS (this will be offered during the program)
- Ability to read, write, understand and speak English. Second languages are considered an asset.
- Ability to work every other weekend
