Are you ready to become a part of our dynamic Birthing Center team?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Advocates for patients and families to ensure positive patient care outcomes.
- Documents all changes as well as relevant information regarding patient’s response to intervention, therapeutic regimens, and patient progress as it relates to plan of care and patient’s response to teaching.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families' peers and other members of the healthcare team.
- Includes patient, family, and caregivers in all aspects of care while ensuring that all explanations are understandable.
- Cares for patients throughout the following phases of care: triage, labor, delivery, recovery, circulate and cesarean sections, postpartum and well newborn care.
- Attends deliveries when appropriate. Implements stabilization process according to NRP guidelines.
- Responds effectively and professionally in a crisis situation.
- Provides resources to assist patients and families with post-discharge needs.
Scheduled Hours: 36 hr/wk, rotating weekend/holiday coverage.
Work Shift: Nights - 7p-7a
Education Required: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSB Preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, Certifications Required:
- State of Massachusetts RN licensure (or eligibility)
- BLS Certification
- NRP
Experience: preceptorship or work experience in labor & delivery, mother baby unit, or neonatal unit preferred
