The Ann Arbor YMCA is seeking reliable and detail-oriented evening custodians to join our team. As a custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Essential Functions
- Maintain positive relationships with staff and members in a child-friendly environment.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with customers
- Work closely with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Dust and wipe down surfaces
- Empty trash and recycling bins
- Restock supplies as needed
- Notify management of any maintenance or repair needs
- Landscaping and snow removal.
- Assist the Facilities Director with the outside contractors and vendors that are doing work in the building and on the grounds.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Part-time 25 hours/week; 8 p.m.to 1 a.m.

Requirements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment or supplies
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
