Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role as a Banquet Captain based in Ypsilanti, MI. The Banquet Captain will oversee and coordinate banquet events, ensuring high-quality food and beverage service and a seamless guest experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising banquet staff, assisting in setting up and breaking down events, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, addressing guest concerns, and collaborating with the kitchen and service teams to maintain efficient banquet operations.
Qualifications
- Strong Supervisory Skills, with the ability to lead, manage, and motivate banquet teams effectively
- Extensive experience in Food Service and Food & Beverage operations, with knowledge of best practices and industry standards
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills to ensure guest satisfaction and effective collaboration with team members
- Proven ability to manage event logistics and attention to detail
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required by the nature of the role
- Prior experience in a banquet or hospitality setting is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in hospitality or service management are a plus
