What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Clearance Specialist position at AnMed?
This position is responsible for performing precertification/certification/authorization activities as part of the daily operations of the Utilization Management program at AnMed Health within the Clinical Coordination model. These duties include but are not limited to: initial certification, collection of necessary information to initiate and/or complete authorizations as required by assignment/procedure, regulatory compliance, related denial management issues, and associated tracking/reporting efforts. This position serves as a liaison between the AnMed Health Medical Staff, AnMed Health System personnel, and third party payers.
Qualifications: High school diploma/GED equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years healthcare or related experience required. Excellent organizational and communication skills and computer experience required. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines is required.
