Department Details
The Emergency Department is a 50-bed unit dedicated to initial evaluation and care of patients presenting with illness or injury. The Emergency Department is staffed by board-certified emergency physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, transporters, techs and registered nurses. The Emergency Department sees on average 170 patients per day with varying acuities and a wide variety of illnesses and injuries, from pediatric to geriatrics.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides quality patient care consistent with the standards and guidelines established by AnMed Health Emergency Department.
- Works under the guidance and supervision of the Emergency Department nurse(s) and charge nurse(s)
- Provides treatment as ordered by the physician(s) / provider(s), helping to promote quality and safe care to the patients within the department
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved nursing assistant training course, hospital-based nursing assistant, phlebotomist, EMT, or surgical technician.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health-related field
- Current certifications in Rhythms Interpretation, Phlebotomy, BLS
