Job Title: Marketing Consultant (Part-Time, Contract)
Location: Houston, TX
Position Type: Contract – 20 hours/week
Start Date: Immediate preferred
About Us:
Ankr Health is a fast-growing US-based digital health company with offices in Houston, San Francisco, and Bangalore. We build cutting-edge, AI-powered tools for hospitals and clinics to improve cancer and surgical care. Our flagship solution is the #1 side effect management platform and our newest initiative is a first-of-its-kind generative AI-powered virtual clinics-as-a-service model.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a high-energy, creative, and self-driven Marketing Consultant to lead and shape our brand narrative and digital presence. The ideal candidate is not just a marketing “executor” but someone who understands how to craft and tell a compelling story to customers, investors, and new organizations.
This is a highly visible role with direct impact on company growth. You’ll work closely with founders, product stakeholders, and advisors to develop a bold and clear corporate narrative, create insightful marketing content, and build a vibrant social media presence.
If you're someone with hustle, drive, and proven experience organizing events, engaging communities, and owning a brand voice — we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of Ankr’s product and translate it into clear, compelling messaging for our website, social media, and pitch decks.
- Proactively identify and engage with key stakeholders to collect feedback and build a coherent marketing strategy.
- Own and manage our social media presence, ensuring regular, engaging, and brand-aligned content across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Plan, organize, and promote virtual and in-person events that position Ankr as a thought leader in digital health.
- Work with internal and external partners (e.g., Status Pro marketing) to upgrade collateral and simplify product storytelling.
- Present marketing performance updates and customer insights to company leadership.
- Identify marketing opportunities and bring structure to a currently under-resourced function.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 5 years of hands-on experience in marketing, branding, or communications — ideally in health tech, SaaS, or startups.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills — especially in converting complex product features into user-friendly content.
- Demonstrated experience managing personal or brand social media accounts.
- Experience planning and executing events (online or offline).
- Self-starter with a “get it done” attitude — must be proactive and able to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
- Bonus: Background in design tools (e.g., Canva, Figma), marketing automation (e.g., Mailchimp), or web CMS (e.g., Webflow, WordPress).
Compensation & Structure:
- Part-time Contractor Role: Start with 20 hours per week.
- Term: Initial 2-month contract, with potential for extension or full-time conversion based on performance and funding.
