Duties
- Assist with food preparation and cooking to ensure timely delivery of meals that meet quality standards
- Follow food safety protocols and proper handling procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Support menu planning by preparing ingredients and assisting with daily meal assembly
- Help with food service operations, including plating and serving dishes to guests or customers
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Handle food items carefully, adhering to proper storage and sanitation guidelines
- Support catering events or special meal services as needed, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Kitchen experience in restaurants or the food industry is highly desirable, especially roles involving food preparation and cooking
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling practices enhances your effectiveness in this role
