Having been around for over twenty years, our client provides the resources necessary for their team members to excel and reach their career goals in the communications industry.Position Summary:Anistar is seeking Cable Technicians for a long term opportunity to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables.The ideal candidate will under general supervision, maintain a highly analytical and problem solving mindset while working as a team player. Candidates will gain experience in running, testing, and terminating low voltage equipment for large data center projects.Technicians with exposure on working with various cables that include but are not limited to:CAT-5e, CAT-6, single & multi mode fiber optic cables.Cable installation includes: pulling, placement, termination, testing, and labeling. Knowledge of Telecom systems, TCP/IP networks, CCTV security, access control & wireless solutions. BICSI cert (current or past) a plus but not needed. We are looking for individuals who will pay attention to detail and work efficiently under minimal supervision.Job Responsibilities:Pulling and routing CAT5e or CAT6 cable in a new construction environmentPulling and installation of fiber optic cables Testing fiber optic cables with Fluke/Viavi tester Labeling fiber optic and copper cables Terminating data jacksInstalling support structures (ladder rack, fiber tray, basket tray)Must be comfortable working from scissor/boom lifts The ideal candidate will possess the following:2 years’ experience installing cables in a data center environment Ownership of basic telecom tools: Punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, Hard Hat, Boots, Safety Glasses, etc.Must be open to working Monday-Saturday up to 60 hours per week Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards.About Us:At Anistar Technologies, we connect individuals from a variety of industries with respected companies, both nationally and internationally.
