Animal Wellness Veterinary Center in Norwalk, CT is adding an Associate DVM/VMD to our busy and thriving, privately owned, small animal veterinary practice! This opportunity is open to candidates who have graduated from an accredited Veterinary school and qualify for or already possess licensure in Connecticut. Candidates with the following knowledge, skills, and abilities are encouraged to apply!

Qualifications

Both experienced DVM/VMDs and new graduates are welcome! Opportunities for you to bring your own specialty to the practice exist! To assist us in taking excellent care of our patients, you should have the following education, experience, and qualities:

• Graduation from an accredited veterinary program
• License to practice veterinary medicine in Connecticut, or qualify for licensure
• A positive, friendly demeanor is a must!  The team will look to you for leadership, and you will be depended upon to help uphold our professional standards and integrity, as well as support and participate in our positive practice culture
• Be knowledgeable and skilled in the practice of veterinary medicine and general soft tissue surgery
• Possess excellent communication skills to justify and encourage diagnostic and treatment plans for patients and embolden follow-through by clients
• A team-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with all staff
• Continued interest in your professional growth, and the growth and success of the practice
• An educational approach to client communication. The more our clients know, the better care they can take care of their pets!
• An interest in practicing integrative medicine, or bringing a personal specialty to our patients is encouraged

This position provides a perfect work-life balance for individuals looking to excel in their career without sacrificing personal time. Our clinic values approachability, enthusiasm, and a commitment to holistic healthcare practices! We are open during the following hours of operation: 

• Monday - Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
• NO WEEKENDS! if you prefer
