We are a surgical referral practice seeking a veterinary assistant to join our practice. Previous veterinary experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate is a confident team player who is excited to advance their veterinary surgical and medical knowledge and is willing to provide input and ideas based on knowledge and prior experience.
Requirements
Duties: The responsibilities of a Veterinary Assistant in our practice are to assist our surgeons and veterinary nurses/technicians with the daily operation and cleaning of our facility. This includes:
- Assisting with patient treatments, husbandry, and restraint
- General cleaning of the hospital and turn over of the operating room in between surgeries.
- Laundry
- Restocking hospital disposables
- Instrument care and cleaning
- Run in-house lab samples
- Machine/equipment maintenance as required
Position requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer and typing skills
- Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Lifting and carrying patients and equipment up to 50 lbs unassisted and ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time
- Availability to work 30-35 hours/week, Tuesday through Friday (Fridays and Wednesdays are a must)
