Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Receptionist to join our veterinary clinic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing excellent customer service while supporting the daily operations of the clinic. This role requires a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal handling, and administrative duties to ensure a smooth and efficient clinic experience for both clients and staff.
Duties
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a welcoming environment
- Manage appointment scheduling, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently
- Handle medical collections and process payments accurately
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services
- Maintain patient records with attention to detail and confidentiality
- Assist with kennel management, including animal care and husbandry tasks
- Support veterinary staff with animal restraint, animal catheterization, and basic animal handling as needed
- Prepare exam rooms and assist with laboratory procedures or sample collection
- Ensure cleanliness and aseptic techniques are maintained throughout the clinic
Skills
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures and veterinary terminology
- Experience with animal handling, restraint, and pet care practices
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and aseptic techniques
- Ability to perform medical collections accurately
- Kennel experience and animal husbandry skills preferred
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to handle animals safely during various procedures such as dog handling or animal restraint
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and clients with excellent organizational skills
- Must have proper grammar

Pay: $10.50 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
