Duties
- Assist with dog handling, including feeding, walking, and monitoring behavior to ensure their comfort and safety
- Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and trimming as needed
- Support veterinary staff with basic animal restraint during examinations or treatments
- Maintain clean and sanitary kennels by cleaning cages, bedding, and common areas regularly
- Provide pet sitting services by engaging pets in play and companionship during their stay
- Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization
- Handle heavy lifting when moving animals or supplies safely and efficiently
- Deliver excellent customer service by communicating pet needs and updates clearly to owners
Requirements
- Prior experience with animal handling, including dog training or veterinary technician experience preferred
- Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and pet sitting responsibilities is a plus
- Background in veterinary assistant roles or kennel experience highly desirable
- Strong animal care skills with the ability to handle animals safely and confidently
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects or animals for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members
