At AERC, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians, VTS team members, and veterinarians across multiple specialties—supporting high-quality patient care and exceptional client service every step of the way.
What You’ll Do
- Safely restrain patients and support procedures as directed
- Be an extra set of hands, where ever the team needs you the most
- Prepare supplies, equipment, and treatment areas
- Collect and run basic diagnostics as trained
- Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment
- Support accurate documentation and workflow in the EMR
- Communicate clearly and calmly with team members in high-stress situations
- Support technicians and doctors with patient care and treatments
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment
Schedule
- Day shift (hours may vary based on hospital needs)
- Includes weekends and holidays
Requirements
- Previous experience working with animals in a clinical, shelter, or veterinary setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfort working in a busy, high-acuity environment
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR systems
- Ability to stand, lift, and assist with animal handling for extended periods
Preferred
- Veterinary Assistant or Technician Assistant experience
- Enrollment in or interest in a Veterinary Technology program
- Prior experience in emergency or specialty medicine
