Veterinary Technician – Surgery

What You’ll Do:
- Assist with surgical procedures and patient preparation
- Support surgeons and the surgical team during procedures
- Assist the Anesthesia team with cases
- Provide attentive pre- and post-operative patient care
- Maintain sterile technique and surgical suite readiness
- Communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth, safe workflows
Essential Physical Functions:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs independently; assist with larger patients
- Safely handle and restrain animals of varying sizes and temperaments
- Bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift
- Use fine motor skills for technical tasks and instrument handling
- Work in a fast-paced environment with noise, odors, and PPE
What We’re Looking For:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred, or equivalent experience
- Comfort with patient handling, basic anesthesia, and monitoring
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to jump in where needed
- Interest in surgery and procedural workflows
