Are you an experienced Veterinary Assistant or RVT looking for flexible, as-needed relief work? Animal Emergency Hospital in Bel Air, MD is seeking a Relief Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 3 years of veterinary experience to join our dedicated team.
- Status: Relief / As-Needed (no guaranteed minimum hours)
- Schedule: Shifts vary; may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience Required: At least 3 years of veterinary assistant experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Job Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Administer common IV medications following proper protocols.
- Reconstitute and label IV medications appropriately.
- Administer subcutaneous (SQ) fluids and medications.
- Perform venipuncture and catheter
- Operate in-house diagnostic equipment- IDEXX
- Assist in patient preparation for surgery

- Ability to operate a multi-line phone system
