Duties
- Diagnose and treat a variety of small animal conditions, including dogs, cats, and exotic pets, ensuring accurate assessments using veterinary terminology and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Perform surgical procedures such as general surgery, dentistry, and specialized interventions with proficiency in aseptic technique and animal restraint.
- Administer anesthesia safely during procedures, monitor vital signs, and manage critical & intensive care cases with expertise in anesthesiology and animal physiology.
- Conduct diagnostic tests including laboratory work, and radiography.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies to promote animal health.
- Maintain detailed medical records while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines and ensuring compliance with veterinary standards for animal care.
Requirements
- Proven veterinary experience with a focus on small animals.
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, animal husbandry, pet grooming, and pet care practices.
- Proficiency in animal restraint techniques, anesthesia administration (including general anesthesia), and emergency medicine protocols.
- Excellent client communication skills to educate pet owners on health management and treatment options.
- Ability to handle dog handling tasks confidently while demonstrating compassion for animals of all temperaments.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, laboratory procedures, and internal medicine diagnostics.
