What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for a hands-on, dependable childcare professional who can manage a full day of structured routines, active supervision, and child-centered care. This role requires constant awareness, physical engagement, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a calm, nurturing environment.
What the job actually involves:
You are responsible for the daily care, safety, and engagement of infants and young children from arrival through pickup. That means supervising play (indoors and outdoors), guiding transitions, preparing and serving meals and bottles, assisting with handwashing, diapering, naps, and helping children build independence through consistent routines.
You’ll be expected to:
- Speak Spanish as we teach this language, so Spanish is required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment at all times (meals, play areas, bathrooms, diaper stations).
- Actively engage children with books, music, conversation, outdoor play, and age-appropriate activities (motor skills, social-emotional learning).
- Manage transitions smoothly using verbal cues, songs, and structure.
- Perform diapering and hygiene procedures carefully, respectfully, and by protocol.
- Support children during meals, naps, and cleanup—teaching independence where appropriate.
- Prepare for outings or activities (checking supplies, snacks, diapers, wipes, medical items).
- Document daily activities and observations with photos and notes.
- Communicate clearly with the lead teacher about each child’s day and any issues.
- Ensure the space is “tour-ready” at the end of each day—clean, stocked, and organized.
This is not a sit-back-and-watch job. You’re on your feet, hands-on, and engaged most of the day. Cleanliness, consistency, teamwork, and child safety are non-negotiable.
Please note: We're looking for candidates who are ok with pets in the facility : dogs, cats, birds, etc.
