What You’ll Do
- Operate forestry heavy equipment including Knuckleboom loaders, Feller Bunchers, and related machinery
- Perform detailed equipment inspections throughout the day to ensure peak performance and proper fluid levels, following company checklists
- Conduct continuous safety checks on equipment (seat belts, fire extinguishers, lighting, etc.)
- Identify and report equipment needs, maintenance issues, and safety hazards to supervisors
- Survey job sites for potential hazards such as power lines, utilities, terrain risks, and co-worker proximity
- Inspect and maintain all machine attachments, taking corrective action when needed
- Follow work orders and operating procedures to complete jobs efficiently and safely
- Maintain clean, organized equipment and leave job sites in safe condition
- Perform or assist with routine maintenance (oil changes, hoses, basic repairs)
- Work closely with a team to meet production goals
- Maintain constant communication with crew members and supervisors
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience operating heavy equipment (forestry experience preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong understanding of safety practices and OSHA regulations
- Ability to follow instructions, communicate clearly, and work well with others
- Dependable, hardworking, and safety-focused mindset
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
