Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and caring Part-Time Kennel Technician to join our team. This role is essential to the daily care and well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for dogs and cats, including feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, and monitoring health and behavior.
• Walk and exercise dogs, and provide enrichment activities for pets.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized environment for pets and clients.
• Assist veterinary technicians and doctors as needed, including restraining pets for exams and treatments.
• Wash laundry, clean dishes, and restock supplies.
• Communicate observations of pets’ health or behavior to the medical team.
• Follow Fear Free handling techniques to ensure a positive experience for our patients.

Qualifications

• Previous animal care experience preferred, but not required—willing to train the right person.
• Must be comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes, temperaments, and breeds.
• Ability to work in a physically active role, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and cleaning.
• Dependable and punctual with strong attention to detail.
• Available to work weekends and holidays as part of the rotation.
