We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. This role involves caring for a variety of animals, ensuring their safety and well-being while maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kennel area by regularly cleaning and sanitizing kennels, play areas, and equipment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff or management.
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed.
- Support dog training initiatives by reinforcing positive behaviors and following training protocols.
- Engage with pet owners to provide excellent customer service and answer any questions regarding their pets' care.
- Assist in administering medications as directed by veterinary staff.
- Help with heavy lifting tasks related to moving animals or equipment when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet sitting, pet care, or veterinary settings is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed for animal care duties.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
