Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage medical collection processes.
- Assist veterinarians with administrative tasks as needed, including great communication with doctors and staff.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments in a timely manner.
- Provide information on pet care, wellness plans, and preventive health measures.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with clients and their pets.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, vaccination protocols and basic veterinary procedures is a plus.
- Skills in dog handling, aseptic technique, dog training, veterinary critical care, and kennel management are highly valued.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling and record keeping.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing excellent care.
