The Animal AM-Emergency Clinic of Pasadena (AAECP) is a high volume 24-hour Emergency and Day Practice Veterinary Clinic. We are seeking a dedicated, resilient, and compassionate Client Service Representative to join our team. As the first point of contact, you are the face of our practice, ensuring that every client and patient feels supported from the moment they call or walk through our doors.
Schedule & Availability
This is a full time position requiring a flexible schedule. Applicants must be available for both day and swing shifts, *including weekends and holidays.
- Day Shifts: 7AM - 7PM
- Swing Shifts: 2PM - 12AM
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relations: Provide a warm, professional welcome to all visitors and manage high-volume, multi-line phone systems (up to 10 lines) with a calm and cheerful demeanor.
- Patient Intake: Efficiently manage the check-in/check-out process, prepare client and patient charts, and escort clients and pets to exam rooms.
- Administrative Support: Process financial records, relay client correspondence, and utilize communication tools (text/email) to keep pet owners updated.
- Crisis Management: Maintain focus and empathy in a fast-paced emergency environment, multitasking effectively during high-stress situations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a veterinary receptionist (Required).
- Skills: Exceptional multitasking ability and a "grace under pressure" attitude.
- Clinical Software: Comfortable with Microsoft Word, SMS Text Messaging, Gmail, Care Credit, and various online pharmacy platforms (e.g. Covetrus, Chewy). *Familiarity with Pulse (our Practice Management Software) is a significant plus.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain standing for extended periods.
- Comfort working in a clinical environment where exposure to odors, noise, animal waste, and potential scratches or bites is possible.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
