What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Operating Officer position at AngryPages?
Company Description
AngryPages.com is an early-stage, bootstrapped California storytelling and publishing startup helping people publish powerful stories they may struggle to own, protect, or monetize elsewhere.
We believe the AI age creates a rare opportunity for creators to turn lived experience, imagination, and voice into long-term value. We care about free speech, creative ownership, human rights, and building technology that helps people communicate more freely.
We are small, honest, fast-moving, and ambitious. This is not a corporate job. This is a founding-stage opportunity for a global thinker who wants to help build something from the ground up.
The right person will work closely with the founder, help shape operations, partnerships, publishing, and growth, and may receive stock options that vest over time.
Role Description
This is a contract hybrid role for a COO at AngryPages.
At this stage, COO means founding operator: someone who helps turn vision into daily progress. You will help find authors, handle leads, support sponsor outreach, manage basic admin, assist publishing operations, follow up with partners, and help AngryPages grow every day.
This role suits someone ambitious, practical, honest, and excited by the upside of joining an early startup before it becomes obvious.
