Full Job Description
Angry Bull Steak House is a family-owned restaurant that is looking for a mature and responsible host or hostess that can complete the following tasks:
· Greet and assist customers who walk through the doors
· Follow rotation amongst servers to maintain a fair work environment
· Manually record a people count for each section to make sure servers are equal in number of customers
· Answer phone calls and gather required information to make reservations
· Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to accurately describe the wait times and maintain a proper wait list
· Perform light opening and closing duties like changing trash bags in the restrooms and cleaning windows.
Also collect messages off the answering machine and call customers back to confirm reservations.
· Typical start time: 3:00 PM
· Typical end time: 8:00/9:00 PM
· Hours: 15 to 30 hours a week
· Fridays, Saturdays, and certain Holidays may be required
Will discuss your scheduling needs further in person.
Will be paid during training and provided written material to help with training.
Requirements
· Prior restaurant and hosting experience is preferred
· Professional and mature attitude
· Adherence to dress code (black dress pants, Angry Bull t-shirt, and black nonslip shoes — some parts of the uniform can be provided by management)
· Stamina to stand the duration of the shift
· Availability for a few weekdays, the weekend, and some holidays
