This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all repayment and collections functions, ensuring strong financial performance, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional member experience. The Repayment Manager will lead a high-performing team focused on supporting members while effectively managing delinquency, charge-offs, and loss mitigation activities.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all repayment and collections functions across the organization.
- Manage delinquent loans, charged-off accounts, share accounts, foreclosures, and related activity.
- Oversee loss mitigation strategies, including modifications, workouts, and recovery efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations governing collections activity.
- Drive a member-focused approach to collections, balancing financial outcomes with service excellence.
- Develop, coach, and lead a high-performing collections team.
- Monitor and manage departmental performance, budgets, and key operational metrics.
- Prepare and analyze reports on delinquencies, charge-offs, and portfolio performance.
- Oversee foreclosure processes, repossessions, and real estate-related recoveries.
- Manage bankruptcy, garnishment, tax levy, and legal recovery activities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on repayment strategy and portfolio health.
- Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of all collections-related records.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field required.
- 5 years of collections experience within a financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage loss mitigation (conventional and government loans).
- 3 years of leadership experience managing a collections or repayment function.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and regulatory compliance knowledge.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive performance in a regulated environment.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
