Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a respected Michigan law firm in the search for a Litigation Employment Associate.
The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation experience, exceptional writing and research skills, and a desire to take an active role in managing cases from inception through resolution.
What You'll Do
- Conduct legal research and analysis on employment and labor law matters.
- Draft legal briefs, motions, pleadings, and other litigation-related documents.
- Manage all phases of discovery, including drafting requests, responses, initial disclosures, and witness preparation.
- Draft responses to EEOC and state agency discrimination charges.
- Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
- Prepare trial materials and assist with trial strategy and execution.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on document production, case management, and litigation strategy.
- Support clients on employment-related disputes and compliance matters.
What You Bring
- 3–6 years of labor and employment litigation experience.
- Experience counseling clients on employment-related matters.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience managing discovery and complex litigation matters.
- Experience taking and defending depositions preferred.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with traditional labor matters is a plus.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw.
Education & Licensing
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the Michigan State Bar or eligible for prompt admission.
