Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Service Coordinator/ Shop Foreman to oversee day-to-day shop operations and support our maintenance team. This position is ideal for a former shop lead, foreman, or senior mechanic who wants to step away from full-time wrenching while still staying close to the tools. The Service Coordinator/ Shop Foreman will work with our shop leads to manage workflow, schedule repairs, confirm proper parts are ordered and ensure our fleet always stays field ready. This position will work as part of the leadership team for our facility.

Key Responsibilities

· Coordinate and prioritize all maintenance and repair work for trucks, heavy equipment, and snow-removal machinery.

· Supervise shop leads and assist in assigning tasks to the right individuals, providing guidance, training, and leadership.

· Will coordinate all field repairs and assign field request to the right field technicians.

· Daily checks on the repair request in the maintenance system to ensure all repair tickets are assigned.

· Perform hands-on work as needed to support the team and meet production demands.

· Work with shop leads to review completed repairs for quality control, safety, and compliance with company standards.

· Maintain organized work orders, service logs, and equipment maintenance records.

· Communicate with site foreman and directors and to ensure equipment readiness and minimize downtime.

· Promote a clean, safe, and efficient shop environment.

Qualifications

· 5 years of diesel, heavy equipment, or truck repair.

· 2–3 years of experience in a leadership, shop lead, or foreman role.

· Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

· Ability to plan, delegate, and manage workloads efficiently.

· Have own tools and be able to assist on the floor when needed.

· Excellent communication and leadership skills.

· Commitment to teamwork, safety, and high-quality work.

Preferred Experience

· Previous experience as a Shop Foreman, Lead Mechanic, or Service Coordinator.

· Familiarity with maintenance tracking or fleet management systems.

· CDL is a plus.
