Position Summary

The Heavy Equipment Lube Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and lubrication services on a variety of construction equipment. This role supports the maintenance team by ensuring equipment is properly serviced, operating efficiently, and inspected for potential issues. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working around heavy machinery in both shop and field environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, including oil changes, greasing, and filter replacements
• Service equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, and trucks
• Check and top off fluids including engine oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant, and fuel systems
• Conduct basic inspections to identify leaks, wear, or mechanical concerns
• Report any issues or abnormalities to mechanics or supervisors
• Maintain accurate service logs and documentation
• Assist mechanics with basic tasks as needed
• Keep work areas, service trucks, and tools clean and organized
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with heavy equipment or in a shop environment preferred
• Basic mechanical knowledge or strong willingness to learn
• Ability to work in outdoor and physically demanding conditions
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Valid Chauffeur’s License required

Work Environment

• Shop and field-based work
• Exposure to weather, noise, grease, and heavy equipment
• Fast-paced construction environment
