Educations and Experience
Previous experience as a CNA and experience in working with geriatric residents is preferred and may be required
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic documents in English. Bi-lingual language skills welcome
Reasoning Ability
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant as required by state and federal law.
If applicant is an Aide in Training, certification must be obtained within 120 days of hire
Physical Demands

Must be able to sit, walk, run, lift and carry in excess of 40 pounds, bend, climb, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, grasp, reach arms above head, and have hand and finger dexterity.
Ability to rapidly assist in the evacuation of all residents from the building in case of emergency.
Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of working daily with geriatric residents and dealing with emergency situations.
Must be able to see, hear, and smell sufficiently to ensure the personal comfort, dignity, health, and safety of the residents, and to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
Equipment
Must be able to operate the following equipment: fire extinguisher, blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, weight chair, Hoyer lift, thermometer, restraints, whirlpool bath, gait belt, hair dryer, rollers, curling iron, and other equipment as required to do the job.
