Fly Shop Sales Representative

Job Purpose:

This position's purpose is to engage with fly shop customers to create a positive outcome and experience by delivering industry best products, services and information.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide an Exceptional Customer Experience: Provide friendly, knowledgeable, professional advice and assistance to all customers in the store every time.

• Customer First: Provide industry leading customer service experience every time. Go above and beyond the customer's expectation by over delivering on their experience while visiting Angler's Covey.

• Provide the Experience: Engage in the “active selling” model of assisting customers. Be educated on all services, classes, and offerings provided by Angler's Covey.

• Product Knowledge: Stay current on the features and benefits of all products through in-store education, rep clinics, and industry sources of information.

• Merchandising: Maintain the the appearance of the store according to the guidelines and goals set forth by management. All areas of the store must be maintained in an orderly clean manner at all times.

• Loss Prevention/Safety: Be engaged at all times when customers are in the store. Use situational awareness to keep tabs on inventory in dressing rooms, activity at the fly bins, etc to prevent loss.

Secondary Responsibilities: In addition to the above, the candidate may be asked to perform additional duties as needed to ensure the success of the business. Some of these additional duties may include moving boxes, tagging or repricing merchandise, restocking merchandise while maintaining a clean, dust free organized store environment. This position may also include cleaning inside or outside of the store including parking lots, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning windows or replacing lightbulbs and other general maintenance duties as needed.

Requirements
What you need to apply:

• A passion for fly fishing – REQUIRED

• You must be responsive, respectful and have the ability to complete the tasks asked of the position.

• Previous retail and customer service experience (preferred)

• Effective communication skills
• General computer skills (Microsoft Office and web-based programs) are essential
• Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Maintain a clean and well put together appearance
