**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and overseeing our health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and fostering a culture of safety among employees. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with management and staff to identify safety issues and lead initiatives to promote a safe work environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies to ensure a safe workplace for all employees.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the work sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, conducting root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate safety training sessions and workshops for employees at all levels, promoting awareness of safety practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with management to develop and enforce safety protocols and emergency response plans.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations, providing guidance and support to staff on safety matters.
- Assist in the coordination of safety committees and promote safety-related initiatives throughout the company.
- Stay updated on industry safety trends, regulations, and best practices, and incorporate relevant changes into the safety program.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification in safety management (such as CSP, CHST, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in construction.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and propose effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to conduct safety training and presentations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
