What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Childcare Teacher – 8-Week Maternity Leave Coverage position at Angier Baptist Child Care?
Angier Baptist Childcare is looking for a dependable, caring, and energetic individual to temporarily join our team while one of our teachers is out on maternity leave.
This is an 8-week temporary position starting November with the possibility of future substitute hours as needed after the maternity leave coverage ends.
Position Details:
- Temporary position – approximately 8 weeks
- Monday–Friday
- 9am-6pm
- Work alongside our childcare team to provide a safe, loving, and structured environment for our children
Responsibilities
- Supervise and interact with children throughout the day
- Assist with daily classroom routines and activities
- Help with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and outdoor play as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Follow all childcare center policies and state regulations
- Communicate and work well with other teachers and administration
- Provide a positive, patient, and nurturing environment for children
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous childcare experience required
- Must be dependable and able to commit to the full 8-week period
- Must have active qualification letter
- CPR/First Aid and Early Childhood Education credentials are a plus
We are looking for someone who truly enjoys working with children, works well as part of a team, and can provide consistency for our classroom while our teacher is on maternity leave.
