Job Overview
We are urgently seeking a dedicated Spanish Speaking Caregiver to join our compassionate team. This vital role involves providing personalized assistance to clients with diverse needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills in Spanish, along with extensive experience in senior care, disability support, and home health services. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
- Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals promptly.
- Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care strategies.
- Use patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques safely and effectively.
- Maintain detailed documentation of care plans, patient progress, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments or community outings while ensuring safety at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities in settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes.
- Strong background in patient observation, medication administration, and patient monitoring.
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, neurodevelopmental disorders, and intellectual disabilities support.
- Familiarity with home health procedures including vital signs measurement, CPR certification, first aid training, and use of Hoyer lifts.
- Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish; bilingual skills are essential for effective client interaction.
- Experience working within HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
- Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate caregiving tailored to individual needs.
